Co-Curricular

There are many opportunities for students to be involved in co-curricular activities during their time at LORDS. Some of these include:

  • Arts Festivals - Winter Soiree, Spring Soiree, Musicals
  • Inter-school sporting competitions (District and Lutheran Swimming, Athletics, and Cross Country Carnivals as well as games competition with local independent schools)
  • Kokoda Challenge
  • Junior School Student Council
  • Lunchtime activities including ‘Just For Fun’ clubs in the Junior School such as Games, Public Speaking, Creative Writing, Colouring
  • Involvement in Awareness Day and Awareness Week for Australian Lutheran World Service
  • After-school dance and visual arts lessons
  • Instrumental lessons (piano, guitar, strings, drums, and singing)
  • Speech and drama lessons
  • Choirs
  • Eisteddfod participation
  • Wakakkiri
  • Gardening club
  • Japanese club
  • Association of Gold Coast Colleges (AGCC) sporting competition (from Year 7 onwards)
