DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT
Reformation and the LORDS Way of Thinking
“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2This week, we celebrate Reformation Day, a reminder of courage, curiosity, and hope that changed the course of history. Martin Luther’s willingness to ask questions, think deeply, and seek truth reminds us of the importance of a mind that is both faithful and thoughtful.
At LORDS, The Way of Thinking encourages us to be creative, curious, and critical just as Luther was when he looked at the world and asked, “Is this what God truly wants for His people?” His openness to God’s Spirit sparked a movement that continues to shape how we learn, live, and believe today.
Reformation isn’t only something that happened long ago; it’s something God continues to do within us. Each time we think creatively about how to solve problems, ask questions with curiosity, or reflect critically on what is right and just, we join in God’s renewing work. And through it all, we hold onto hope, hope that God is still reforming hearts, communities, and our world for good.
Prayer:
Loving God, thank You for minds that can wonder, question, and create. Help us to think in ways that reflect Your truth and love. Fill us with hope, so that in all we do, we trust You are still at work, renewing and reforming our world. Amen.
